Vintage Denby Gypsy 6.5” Side Plates – Set of 2 – 1970s English Stoneware Floral
A beautiful pair of vintage Denby-Langley Gypsy stoneware side plates, featuring the pattern’s distinctive oversized lavender and soft pink flowers with muted olive green centers and deep rose accents on a warm cream background.
Introduced in the early 1970s, Denby’s Gypsy pattern has that unmistakable earthy, slightly bohemian look of the era. The subtle variations between the floral designs give the pieces wonderful handcrafted character.
Details: Set of 2 plates; approximately 6½ inches in diameter each; combined weight approximately 1.2 lb; stoneware; made in England; Denby backstamp; Gypsy pattern; vintage circa 1970s–1980s. The pattern was produced from 1972–1989. Replacements
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate signs of previous use. I do not see obvious chips or cracks in your photos. The handwritten marks on the undersides appear to be previous ownership/resale markings rather than part of the Denby backstamp.
