Vintage Hand-Carved Wooden Elephant Figurine – Signed Pittman – 9"

A substantial hand-carved wooden elephant with a warm reddish-brown finish and beautiful natural wood grain. This piece has a chunky, stylized form with carved ears, trunk, legs, and facial details, giving it a great vintage folk-art look.

The underside is inscribed “Pittman” (best interpretation of the hand-carved signature). I have not confirmed the maker, so it is being described as signed rather than attributed to a specific artist or region.

This elephant has plenty of character and would work beautifully in a collected, eclectic, global, boho, or traditional interior. It also displays well as a standalone shelf or tabletop piece.

Details:

• Approx. 9" long x 5" tall
• Weight: 1.48 lbs
• Solid carved wood
• Reddish-brown stained/finished surface
• Hand-carved elephant form
• Inscribed “Pittman” on underside
• Vintage pre-owned condition with light surface wear, small marks, and natural variations consistent with age and handmade construction
